Falling Pomegranate Seeds is a Discovered Diamond.
It is always nerve-racking waiting to hear back from book reviewers. My publisher, Madeglobal, recently sent Falling Pomegranate Seeds: The Duty of Daughters to Discovering Diamonds. This is a new book review website (the writers behind it are historical fiction authors I greatly respect) that aims to promote “quality historical fiction”, and only reviews novels they rate as three stars and above. So I was delighted when my published told me they would reviewing my new novel this month. I am even more delighted now. Discovering Diamonds rated my novel a ‘Discovered Diamond’. How lovely knowing the reviewer found my novel “a joy to read”, But as for Falling Pomegranate Seeds: The Duty of Daughters being the ‘first in what promises to be a magnificent series depicting the wives of Henry VIII?’ Scratch head. While I utterly treasure the ‘magnificent’, I did not realise I was writing a series about Henry VIII’s six wives. But perhaps the reviewer is also fortune teller. Who knows – I may end up writing a series after all….
